Oh Canada

The staff in Canada were lovely.....and most of Canada was nice to see...but the 360 degree movie was soooo dated and dull...I don't think it would encourage anyone to go there! It hasn't been remade for YEARS......they really do need to re do it and modernise it........we were chatting to the staff in the stores there for a while and it made me feel a little proud to be living in Canada....but I have to say I am not looking forward to going home to that snow and cold...it is so gorgeous here weather-wise.......22c here today and no wind at all.....just gorgeous. I don't like it too hot and am fed up with the cold so this is my idea of perfect.....

Oooh and we saw an armadillo today!!! It was walking along by the side of the road as we drove off the I-4 towards Epcot......and we saw a raccoon yesterday - but it was squashed by the side of the road :(

The two pics above were taken in Canada, EPCOT.

Morocco

Morocco was really nice...very authentic (not that I have eve been there but I can imagine lol!)

Charlynn!

Yes you were right! The song in my head on Thursday was 'I'm gettin' married in the mornin' from My Fair Lady :) one of my favourite films!

Goings on............

So yesterday was Animal Kingdom......we weren't very impressed...its not the best run Disney park.....it was a quiet day there yet they didn't seem to be able to cope with the amount of people there....no idea how they cope during peak season......my advice if you are going in a busier time.....go EARLY and buy fast passes to the rides you want to go on the most......

The Safari ride wasn't that great.....it was ok but not brilliant......we did see a 4 month old baby giraffe though!! The kids LOVED Expedition Everest......it would be a nice place to go as a couple...to just stroll around in.......we had lunch at the Dawa Bar in Africa which was GREAT food...the African entertainers were very good whle we ate.....it was so hot it was GORGEOUS!!! The Tree of Life isn't as great as I had expected.....much smaller and you can't get that close to it.......there isn't much for young children there really......Dinoland was ok.....we managed to spend 6 hours there but it wasn't a great park really...if you have to choose to leave one out then pick that one!

Today we went to Epcot.....I really liked it there....it would be nice to go back on our own as a couple and really stroll around the World Showcase, but even with the children we had a great time.....Susie and Laurie have a folder to collect squashed pennies....and each country has a squashed penny machine....we collected a penny from each country :)

The boys went off on their own for a few hours - they headed for 'Soarin' and 'Test Track' and Mission Space etc etc......they hd a blast! We went to Canada and the United Kingdom first before heading to France for lunch at the boulangerie...which is FABULOUS!!!!! Pastries and breads, quiche, cakes of all kinds.....mmmmmmmmm! We sat outside at a little table in the courtyard.......and it felt very Parisian......

We did notice things like the courtyard only had ten little tables......and they were all busy...we were lucky and got a table to sit at but many didn't.....in peak season it must be impossible to get a table......I must admit that I am glad we came duing a quiet season.........we haven't had to line up much for anything...even food and tables etc etc.....the longest wait was for the Finding Nemo ride...and that was about 20 minutes......and DEFINITELY worth the wait! The ride isn't fabulous although little ones love it, but talking with Crush the turtle was amazing!!!! Totally interactive and sooo well done!

The boys loved Test Track so much that they wanted to take Lloyd on it too - so Susie went as well and I took Abigail shopping with Sam for some birthday gifts for Susie......oh and we had ice creams too and when we came out of the store it was dark! And I was disoriented and had no clue how to get back to where I was meeting Lloyd! But!!! The paving stones have little lights inset into them and they all twinkle and its just gorgeous!!! Worth getting lost for!

So Epcot gets a big thumbs up and Animal Kingdom gets a thumbs down.....

Oh and anyone heading to Florida - you need VERY comfortable shoes.....you will be doinga LOT of walking....I can't believe how much we have walked this week....my poor feet and legs!!!!

a couple of me.........

Buzz Lightyear......Pooh.....

Sam had a Buzz Lightyear gun and he tried to shoot Buzz with it!!! Luckily Buzz thought it was funny! Buzz can't sign autographs so he has a stamp that he stamps the books with!

And a few more.......

Tigger was in the toy store in the United Kingdom!!! Abby gave him a big hug....she wouldn't have her picture taken with many characters today so this was great! Dopey was walking around near Germany in Epcot......he was VERY sweet and asked Susie for a kiss.....she looked shocked and then kissed him and he spun around all excited from the kiss......Susie was thrilled!

Chip and Dale......

Chip and Dale were great fun! The children really liked meeting them!

Belle the baby catcher!

Sam wouldn't have his picture taken with ANY of the characters.....this is the closest we got with him - he raced passed Belle and then came racing back....she tried to catch him coming back but NO WAY! lol! It was cute!

Meeting the Princesses......

Belle (Beauty) and Aurora (Sleeping Beauty).....with Prince Philly! :) Susannah was thrilled to spend time with them.....Aurora and her Prince were so friendly and chatty with Susie and Abigail...calling them Abby-Belle and Susie-mouse! They called Chris in to the picture too :)

Minnie Mouse

Susannah was THRILLED when Minnie walked over to Mickey and gave him a kiss!!!! Mickey and Minnie are wearing their special costumes for The Year of a Million Dreams.......

catching up with pictures!

Finally I have a little time to add a few pictures.... so I will start with some of the children with various characters they have met! Starting with Mickey Mouse of course!!!
