Winter Olympics hopeful!
Enjoying the preparations for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver....many events will be held in Whistler. A also had fun on the beautifully designed playground in the village centre.
Climbing lessons....
A had a blast today climbing the walls at The Core in Whistler village...she did so great and could climb so fast!
View from our window....
This was the view from my bedroom window this morning......the dusting of snow was so pretty.....it didn't stick arund though.....each evening they place a card in our room telling us what the weather forecast is for the following day :)
Canada's Olympic Bobsled team....
Whistler is going to be hosting many of the events in the 2010 Winter Olympics which are being held in Vancouver. They are busy preparing with roadworks EVERYWHERE! Also they had this displaye in the village for photo ops!!! Laurie is not happy on the podium because it looks as though Susie beat him lol! I have always wanted to have a go in a bobsled! I would like to have a go in Calgary one day!
Abigail flies up the wall!
People were amazed at what a natural Abigail was at climbing the wall....my little monkey! She had soooo much fun! They gave her a special chocolate frog at dinner tonight as an award for being so great on the wall!

This afternoon we all went rock climbing indoors at The Core.....this is Susannah on the walls having fun!

......including the children sat in the 'parlour' and our bath robes hung on the door - the boys are lOVING theirs :)
What you get for $1300 a night!
The bed is incredibly soft and comfortable.....I want to take it home in my bag! Do you think they'd notice? The teas provided are also incredible and the bath products smell divine! I'm still not sure its worth that much money - although the service here is sooooo much better than any 'standard' hotel I have ever stayed in....so maybe thats what you pay for over room size or quality!
