The Marijuana..

I forgot to post about it....I meant to write about it under the Chris's stash post!

Everyone at school thought it was great fun - teachers and students...so no criticism at all for the fake joint :) I must admit I was surprised...but then I did send a note with DS stating that it was FAKE marijuana lol!

People did complain about the smell though......and I have to admit the smell was nasty lol!

Novembers first sunset........

Runners World

I am pissed off. I hate subscriptions to magazines because the srevice you get is CRAPPY.

I subscribed to Runners World magazine on JUNE 5TH!!!!! It is now November 1st and I have still not received an issue by mail or had any contact from them grrrrr....I just sent another email and will wait to hear...

I missed last months because I expected to get it in the mail and now there is a new one in the store and I don't know whether to buy it or not.

I am not subscribing to any other magazine ever again - except for Homeschooling Horizons which is such a fabulous magazine and I have never had any problems with them at all!

Are you a Tigger or an Eeyore?

www.youtube.com:80/watch?v=k0aO64aKqek

This is soooo inspiring....the end brought me to tears....I can't imagine how hard it must be to have to say goodbye to your children like that....what a great man!

Anyway, part of his talk made me think....are you a Tigger or an Eeyore?

I guess it reflects back on my thoughts of Daisys posts about The Secret and positive thinking etc etc.....(she posted on her blog The Montessori Homeschooler about this a few weeks back)

I think for the most part I am a Tigger....I think we all have days when we are more like Eeyore, but for the most part I'm a Tigger! Which are you?

A quiet Thursday...

After yesterdays busy day, today has been quiet and restful :) We read the new issues of Chirp with Sam and then we read A's new Nick Jr magazine...there are so many games and crafts in there so tonight I will spend time cutting them all out for tomorrow.

S had the play dough out today and A joined in for a little while.....they did a Halloween craft - colouring wooden ornaments from a kit. A did a few pages form her grade 1 book....and also played on her age 5 - 7 math cd that Grandma and Grandad sent her.

She also used my mirror from the bathroom and sat at the table and started on a self portrait in her sketch book.

We also started a list of things we need to get in town tomorrow.

Halloween Fun

WE had a day of fun yesterday for Halloween....attended a Halloween event in town in the morning...A got to help perfrom the songs at circle time...and enjoyed pumpkin cake too....and in the evening she had a blast trick or treating....

Susannah and friend....

Susannah and Julia enjoyed trick or treating together last night :) Julia lives a LONG way out of the city, so we drove her home after our evening.....she hasn't trick or treated in town before :)

Chris's stash....

I realise I don't have one picture of Chris in his costume so I will have to take one tonight...it's kind of sad that the boys do their own thing now on Halloween....I was saying to Lloyd in the car that one day it will be just Sam to take out.....and Abigail said 'Don't worry Mom, I promise to always go with you'...... :)

Chris had fun with his friends last night and got a sack load of candy so he is happy :)

Abby and Sams stash.....

Susies stash!!

Susannah with her candy....

Lauries stash!!!

Laurie with his candy :)

Candy floss fun....

Abigail managed to get candy floss everywhere!!!! She then found a mirror and tried to 'lick' it off lol!

A few general pics of trick or treating....

Just to give you an idea of what its like to trick or treat at the mall......

Unsure........

Sam wasn't sure about this trick or treating business to begin with, but once he got that first piece of candy, he was OFF.....

In the paper????

A photographer asked if he could take Sams picture for the local paper.....he said he hadn't seen a good Bizz Lightyear for years and it would make a great picture! He took Sams name and age.....no idea if it will actually make it in, but it will be interesting to look!

The mall....

We dropped Laurence at his friends home and they all went trick or treating in their neighbourhood. The rest of us went to the mall....we do this every year....some people think the mall isn't as much fun, but to me its ideal for little ones...you don't have to worry about houses that are too scary, about getting cold, about crossing roads etc....so for Sam and Abby its ideal....

Because the weather was so nice this year, the mall was REALLY quiet.....that made it even better :)

We always get there about 10 minutes before it officially starts, but the stores start giving candy straight away anyway....

My little trick or treaters....

Susannahs friend Julia joined us this year for trick or treating.....she dressed up as Pebbles from The Flintstones...
