Me now.

Lloyd says I'm covered in Pixie Dust........I'm going for a bath :) I'm all Martha-ed out :)

Good Friday - updated :)

Abigail chose a special outfit this morning and asked me if it was nice enough for Jesus.......this is what happens when you send your oldest Daughter to Catholic school. I smiled and said I was sure it was perfect :) I have told her that today is the day that Jesus was nailed to the cross. She knows that later we will have hot cross buns to eat and we will also do a some more Easter crafts...we'll read Easter stories - religion based and non religion based.

Tonight Chris, Lloyd and I will watch The Passion of the Christ. We have it on dvd but have never seen it.

I am Atheist as you're all aware I'm sure. I do believe that Jesus Christ lived. I believe he was a rebel of his time. There is a lot of evidence that he really did live - that he did die on the cross (as many of his time did).....I have a lot of beliefs about that time and about religion. I have taken the Alpha course (some of it) and still remain Atheist. I totally respect other peoples Faith and belief systems - including those of my children. Please respect my mine.

One of my favourite movies is the movie Jesus of Nazareth with Robert Powell. Wonderful movie!!!

Yesterday I put a little surprise in my childrens lunch boxes - they each had a magic fish - one of those tricks where you have a plastic fish that curls up in the palm of your hand - and depending how it curls up you can tell what mood you are in - like a mood ring! We used to get them in Christmas crackers when we were children and I found some in the science store in town a few weeks ago and thought they'd be cool to pop in the childrens lunch bags as a surprise one day!

The two most religious children in the class refused to hold the fish! They said they were evil and that Jesus would not approve of them!

Now see! THIS is what puts me off religion! These ridiculous notions! Because to me THIS is ridiculous! Each to their own and those children are free to believe that but they tried to push their thoughts on to the rest of the children in the class yesterday.

I actually think Jesus would have thought it was fun too ;) i think he would have been first in line to see if he was feeling passionate by seeing if the fish would flip over in the palm of his hand ;) Because Jesus had a sense of humour for gawds sake ;)
